What it is for
The cage stops the cutter at a set depth, so every countersink in a row comes out the same. The 1/4"-28 thread takes the cobalt countersink cutters listed here.
A cheaper route in is the 9-piece microstop and countersink kit. Pilot sizes follow the rivet holes on the drill chart.
