What it is for
The 0.498" shank is the bigger of the two standard shanks: it does not take the 0.401" sets used by the 2X, 3X and 4X. Buy 0.498" sets with it. Yardstore describes it as for heavy-duty riveting and for knocking out stubborn pins.
