About this calculator
The list you send to purchasing, checked before it goes. Add the part numbers and quantities of a repair, and each line comes back with its waste, documented equivalents, weight and packs. The same part under two numbers is caught, and a figure we do not have is left blank and marked.
Runs in your browser. The list is saved in this browser only, and the shared link carries part numbers and quantities, nothing else.
What it adds to a spreadsheet
It reads the number. Each line goes through the same data as the part number decoder: what the part is, and its data sheet where we have one.
It catches the same part twice. AN470AD4-6 and MS20470AD4-6 on two lines are one purchase: AC 43.13-1B 7-1a says MS20470 supersedes AN470. The list flags them and merges them with one click. The same goes for a NAS9304B and its CR3243 (Cherry CA-1015, p. 27) and for numbers linked by a standard, a maker's table or a shared NSN.
Quantity to order. Quantity × (1 + waste %), rounded up. If you enter a pack size, the order rises to whole packs, and the sheet shows how many pieces are left over.
Weight. Solid rivets by geometry and AN bolts from their standard's dimensions, as in Kit Weight & Count, about ±5 %. Nutplates use the weight per 100 in their standard. Blind rivets, screws and sealants have no figure we can cite, so the line asks for your scale and stays out of the total until it has one.
Packs. Shown only where a catalog listing states one. A distributor sells AN470 and AN426 by weight in 1, 1/4 and 1/8 lb, so the weight of the line becomes those units, with 5 % added for the estimate. Everywhere else the line says the pack is not stated, and you can type the size from your quote.

Worked example
A skin repair lists 200 MS20470AD4-6 and 60 AN470AD4-6, with 10 % waste.
- The two lines are one part: AN470 is superseded by MS20470 (AC 43.13-1B 7-1a). Merged: 260 pieces.
- To order: 260 × 1.10 = 286.
- One piece by geometry is about 0.00059 lb, so 286 weigh about 0.17 lb.
- A distributor sells by weight: with the 5 % on top, 0.18 lb, which is 1 × 1/4 lb.
Limits — when NOT to use this
- An equivalent is not an approval. It is a link a source prints. The SRM, IPC or drawing decides what may be fitted.
- Waste is yours. No standard sets a waste figure for shop use, so it starts at 0 %.
- Blank is honest. A line without a weight or a pack means our sources have none. Lines without a weight are not in the total.
- Not a stock or shelf-life tool. It does not track batches, cure dates or certificates.
