The drawing
Where to buyStep by step
| Step | Action | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Match the size | The size is stamped on the fastener and colour coded: 3/32, 1/8, 5/32, 3/16, 1/4 and 3/8 in. See the cleco size chart. |
| 2 | Deburr first | Take the burrs off before final assembly so the sheets close. |
| 3 | Start at the ends | Line up the parts and place the first clecos at the ends or the corners. |
| 4 | Spread along the row | Add more so the sheets close evenly, without a wave. |
| 5 | Rivet, then move them | Rivet between clecos, then take them out and fill those holes last. |
| 6 | Need more clamp? | Hex nut or wing nut fasteners give up to 300 lb of clamping force. |

Questions people actually ask
How far apart should clecos be?
The Handbook gives no figure. Use the job card or SRM; close enough that the sheets stay tight.
