Maximum – minimum as tabulated in MS35690 Rev. E; letters as on the standard's drawing.
Dimensions in inches; two optional designs (with or without a .016 approx. washer face, 30 deg +/-2 deg chamfer). Dimensions F, G, H depend only on the nominal size, so UNC and UNF threads of one size share them.
Dash numbers: grade B uncoated in the dash column, grade C uncoated in the next column (Table II / Table III). Table II also lists nickel-plated brass for .250-28 UNF (413), .3750-16 UNC (613) and .3750-24 UNF (633).
Cancelled dash numbers (Table IV, cancelled after 30 Sep 1965: grade A, grade B and C cadmium/zinc optional or phosphate, CRES passivated, brass, tin plated) are replaced per the interchangeability tables V and VI in the sheet (not transcribed here; MS35691 lists the equivalent substitutions for jam nuts).
Threads per FED-STD-H28/2; acceptability of screw threads per FED-STD-H28/20, System 21.
For design feature purposes this standard takes precedence over the referenced procurement documents.
