Notes from the standard
- Hose sizes -3 to -10. Construction: synthetic rubber inner tube with 2 layers of stainless steel wire braid; fluid temperature -65°F to +300°F; application fuel, oil and coolants. Basic spec MIL-H-83797 (TSO C53a, Type A).
- AE501: 601/AE701 hose overlaid with a polyester chafe cover (Type A). AE401: 601/AE701 hose with an integral silicone rubber fire sleeve (Type C). AE501 and AE401 are not offered in -3 and -5.
- Assembly key AE701XXXX - G - 0185: base number, size code, length in inches (4 digits, the last in eighths). Base numbers: 601/AE701 AE7010000, AE401 AE7013106, AE501 AE7013110, 601/AE701 with AE102 AE7010001.
- Nut, nipple and elbow: steel AMS 5024 (-3 to -5), aluminum 2024/6061 (-6 and up); nut wire 305 steel AMS 5685; socket aluminum 6061.
