Notes from the maker

  • Push drawbolt assembly forward before mounting; while holding forward thread pulling head onto riveter (both internal and external threads connected); lock with jam-nut; cycle tool.
  • Remove broken stem by hand after each installation; if stems stick, jaws do not open enough -> pulling head mounted incorrectly.
  • Inspect active area regularly. Clean insert, jaws and jaw cavity inside collet every 1,000 installations. Lubricate outside of jaws with Lubriplate or similar light grease. Loctite 242 (removable) on threaded components as shown. At assembly thread in set screws tightly (item 16) then back off 1/4 turn.
