Notes from the maker
- Before use make sure sleeve and pilot are in working condition; no installations with worn or damaged tooling.
- Push collet bolt assembly forward before mounting; engage 1-2 threads of drawbolt (18) onto piston before threading adapter fitting (19); tighten jam nut (20).
- Clean sleeve, pilot, jaw set and collet every 1,000 installations or on failure; use wire brush to clean copper deposited inside jaw set. Lubricate outside of jaw set with Lubriplate or similar light lubricant. Re-assembly: lubricate outside of pilot insert with O-ring lubricant; oil/grease all sliding surfaces with Lubriplate; Loctite 242 (removable) on sleeve and collet threads.
