Notes from the maker
- Return spring of riveter P-1315; assembly tool 750-045 from Tool Kit to facilitate installation. Collet must be fully threaded onto drawbar.
- Jaw alignment tip: pump handle several times, place rivet stem in pulling head, fully retract piston.
- Ensure piston is fully retracted (depress return valve on left side) before installing a rivet; jaw damage may result otherwise.
- Cycle until stem breaks; short strokes easier; if stem stuck use pliers; persistent -> inspect/replace spring behind jaws.
- Clean nosepiece, jaw cavity and inspect jaws and spring every 500 installations or whenever a failure occurs; replace spring and jaws if worn. Lubricate outside of jaws with Lubriplate or similar light grease. Use Loctite 242 on threaded components. Align jaws with jaw follower (items 4 and 5).
